Ooty is and has always been one of the best ride trip destinations I have ever had ,its not too far for a weekend ride, you get to see the jungle (Bandhipur)loads of deer, bison and maybe if you are lucky a panther, there is a smal hamlet called Masangudi which also makes for a great stop before the 39kms of ghat section before Ooty ,the cool Ooty air that meets you on the ghats just as you are about 10 kms away from the town and a lot of other little things that made me do this ride 3 times now.

Yazo & GASO
My Yazo with GASOLINA

The first bike i designed and built - My own   G a s o l i n a

This is GASOLINA,My first love and true companion wherever i may roam,She is a 1988 Royal Enfield 350cc ,she was my dads bike before i got her in 2001 ,I made a few changes the minute i got her and man was she a sight ,I made a number of trips with her through South India namely Bangalore-Goa,Bangalore-Gokarna,Bangalore-Koddai,Bangalore -Ooty,Bangalore -Coorg ,some of these trips i re-did coz i could not get enough ,neway ,last year i decided my GASO needed a makeover all women need one periodicaly and so here you see her in her latest avtar.

I have streched the swingarm resulting in an increase in wheelbase by about 6inches for that long stance and also streached the gear and brake position for that easy rider position,I've also replaced the 100-19in rear tyre with a 140-16in IRC Tyre imported from Bangkok, and to show it of i had to chop the rear mudguard which i fabricated myself before, with all this done she badly needed a paint job ,which i gave her and designed the stickering my self,i have always been enthralled by the American warplanes of the 60's and so chose the "Stars & Stripes " theme along with the two black stripes which are so me ,i dont know why ,guess it reminds me of the highway and it has a kinda peacefull effect on me.
